Gabrielle Paluch is currently working as part of the Center's team writing about the economic effects of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Paluch is a former correspondent in Southeast Asia, where she reported from Myanmar and Thailand for the Voice of America and the LA Times, covering the developing Rohingya crisis and other regional development and humanitarian issues. She earned an MA in business journalism from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and began covering real estate for the Wall Street Journal, The Real Deal, and McClatchy, for which her stories won a SABEW award. She is currently writing a book about the historic opium trade in Southeast Asia.
